The City of Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department is asking residents to donate clean, undamaged plastic grocery bags for dog waste stations on public trails and in other public spaces, according to a city announcement posted Sept. 29, 2026.
The city said residents can leave bags in clearly marked “Plastic Bags” bins in the first-floor lobby of Twin Falls City Hall or at the Parks and Recreation office. Only clean bags without tears or other damage should be donated, and the bins should not contain trash or other items, the announcement said.
According to the city, the bags will be reused, not recycled. Reusing them will reduce the cost of buying bags and give them another use before they reach the landfill, the announcement said.
