The City of Twin Falls said Oct. 22 that drilling is underway on a new test well at Magic Valley Regional Airport, the next step in its effort to develop wells to serve the airport.
According to the City, the test well will be used to evaluate water quality and production capacity, including how much water it can produce. The results will help determine whether the location can meet the airport’s long-term water needs and guide the project’s next steps, the City said.
The City said it has been working for several years on testing, design and development of new airport water wells. The overall project is scheduled for completion in 2029, with additional milestones expected as work progresses, according to the announcement.
The City said it will share updates when testing results become available. The announcement did not provide a project cost or a contact for questions.
